Over the last few years, country music and more rustic, rural wedding have come on strong! From barns to open fields, mason jars to candletop barrels, the simpler side of life is creeping into wedding themes around the country.

So whether you’re looking for country wedding songs to walk down the aisle to, or even just some upbeat country wedding songs, here are our top country music wedding songs of 2017.

1. “I CROSS MY HEART” by George Strait

A great slow jam for a First Dance, or even to be played in the background during dinner, “I Cross My Heart” is one of the great George Strait wedding songs that came from the King’s lengthy career.

BEST LYRIC:

“You will always be the miracle that makes my life complete…

And as long as there’s a breath in me, I’ll make yours just as sweet.”

2. “FOREVER AND EVER AMEN” by Randy Travis

A mid-tempo song from another country great, this song makes a great addition to any dinner or cocktail hour playlist.

BEST LYRIC:

As sure as I live, this love that I give…

Is gonna be yours until the day that I die”

3. “I DON’T DANCE” by Lee Brice

Written for his own wedding, this newer Lee Brice song makes for an excellent First Dance song, especially for a more burly groom.

BEST LYRIC:

“But you took these two left feet…

And danced away with my heart.”

4. “BLESS THE BROKEN ROAD” by Rascal Flatts

One of the more popular First Dance songs of the last 10 years, this Rascal Flatts classic still gets a lot of play!

BEST LYRIC:

“This much I know is true… That God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you”

5. “GOD GAVE ME YOU” by Blake Shelton

A #1 hit for Voice crooner Blake Shelton, this song (written by Dave Barnes) is a surprisingly underplayed song at weddings. Great for First Dances or even background music.

BEST LYRIC:

“You’ll always be love’s great martyr…

And I’ll be the flattered fool, and I need you.”

6. “MY LITTLE GIRL” by Tim McGraw

Without a doubt THE most popular Father-Daughter Dance song, this McGraw hit still leaves few un-dry eyes during the special dance.

BEST LYRIC:

“Go on take on this ole world…

But to me you know you’ll always be my little girl.”

7. “IT’S YOUR LOVE” by Tim McGraw & Faith Hill

Another appearance by Tim McGraw (this time in a duet with wife Faith Hill), this song makes for a great First Dance, as well as a great cocktail hour tune.

BEST LYRIC:

“And if you wonder… About the spell I’m under…

Oh it’s your love”

8. “I LOVE THE WAY YOU LOVE ME” by John Michael Montgomery

Another underplayed wedding song, this John Michael Montgomery hit from the early 90s brings back memories and perfectly frames an undying, unshakeable

BEST LYRIC:

“But I love the way you love me, strong and wild…

Slow and easy… Heart and soul”

9. “FROM THIS MOMENT” by Shania Twain and Bryan Adams

One of our favorite wedding songs, this Shanie Twain duet is still just as amazing and fresh as the day it was released. Makes for a great First Dance song, but also a great instrumental for a wedding ceremony/bridal processional (try having it played by a classical guitar player).

BEST LYRIC:

“You’re the reason I believe in love…

And you’re the answer to my prayers from up above.”

10. “THE KEEPER OF THE STARS” by Tracy Byrd

This early 90’s Tracy Byrd song is rare to hear, but so good when you do. From First Dance to a ceremony processional, this song definitely sets the mood for some great country-themed weddings.

BEST LYRIC:

“It was no accident me finding you…

Someone had a hand in it…

Long before we ever knew”
